WHO WE WORK WITH
The SIJS Project works with young people who are under 21 who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by a parent.
As of Spring 2020, we are taking a handful of cases that are:
Unaccompanied minors only
Living in, or with a close guardian in, the Bronx and Manhattan. We may consider Brooklyn on a case-by-case basis.
Any age under 21, and affirmative and defensive cases, are welcome.
While we are few cases, feel free to reach out to us. We are also always happy to talk about SIJS, screen someone, and give you recommendations for other organizations that provide legal representation in New York. Check out our resource list here.
